As a Pisces I have always identified with fish, especially Trout. They are beautiful and varied in color and size. Trout are playful and courageous. They can leap their full length out of the water to snap at a fly and migrate up raging rivers to spawn.
Fishing has never been one of my passions, but I have enjoyed catching my dinner of fresh mountain trout while backpacking in the high sierras. I am always very grateful to the fine fish for their fresh flesh.
The image of the trout leaping to give the moon a kiss is my therianthropic self-image. The man in the moon is my beloved. Our love is observed by admiring salamanders and dragonflies that may be considered a trout feast in another reality, but in my bejeweled alternate reality, these creatures are at peace and harmony with the display of affection.
